The story

There is a pattern I have seen repeatedly throughout my coaching — inside organisations, across sectors, and across borders.

The most capable professionals are rarely the ones advancing the fastest.

No, it is not that their work is not strong. Their work is exceptional.

But somewhere along the way the career stopped moving the way it should — and working harder stopped being the answer. The effort is there. The results are there. But the recognition, the visibility, and the advancement are not keeping pace.

That gap — between the capability you bring and the career that reflects it — is exactly the space I work in.

I spent years inside complex international organisations — including the UN system — watching this pattern play out at close range. I understood the systems, the politics, the communication dynamics, and the specific gaps that keep capable people stuck. That experience is what makes the guidance different.

For Individual Professionals

I work one-on-one with capable professionals who feel stuck — people who are delivering strong results but whose careers have stopped moving at the level their work deserves.

This is not generic coaching. It is focused, practical work on how you show up, how your value is being read, and how your career narrative is being told — by you or without you.

We work on:

  • How your value and influence are being read by the people above you
  • Executive presence and communicating with authority in senior spaces
  • Career narrative — how your story is being told and by whom
  • Positioning yourself for the next move before the opportunity arrives
  • High-stakes conversations that define career trajectories

This is the work that changes trajectories. Not in theory — in practice, in the rooms that matter.

For Organisations

Through Araba Africa, I work with corporates, international institutions, NGOs, and development organisations on internal communication strategy and leadership communication capacity.

If the challenge is systemic — how communication flows across your organisation, how leaders communicate across functions, how internal messaging translates into action — that is a different conversation.

Methodology

How we work

We do not arrive with generic frameworks and leave behind slide decks. Every engagement follows four stages — and all four are required for the work to hold.

01

What is actually happening

Diagnose

We assess what is actually happening — not what is assumed to be happening. Communication problems are rarely what they appear on the surface.

02

Built for your context

Design

We develop strategy and coaching frameworks tailored to your organisation's context, culture, and leadership realities — not adapted from generic templates.

03

Practical and applied

Deliver

We work directly with leaders and teams. The work is practical, applied, and grounded in real situations — not slide decks left behind after a workshop.

04

A lasting shift

Embed

We build communication capability into everyday leadership practice — not as a one-off intervention but as a lasting shift in how your organisation operates.
